It's Siamese food with variety of veges, prawn and gula thai called SOMTAM.Recently, on August 5th, 2009, Mulan (a friend of mine from Kedah) and me went to Brunai Darussalam. After we got starving, i brought her to 1 of my favorite restaurant there which is Sweet Lemon Grass Restaurant (Siamese Ciusine).
As usual i ordered Tomyam, beef with broccoli. Later, Mulan ordered SOMTAM. Somtam??? What's that?? Yea why not i try it 1st huh??
Mulan siad, Somtam made by:
Unripe green papaya
Thai Chilli
Long beans
Carrot
Tomato and other veges
Small dried shrimp
Gula Thai (Thai sugar)
And all the ingredients will be pound using a large clay mortar with a wooden pastle.
And it was divine!!
